An Inspiring Acoustic-electric Experience

The Takamine Pro Series P1NC Acoustic-electric guitar rewards you with its mellifluous sonority, understated good looks, and buttery playability. Grab the fast mahogany neck, strum a few chords, and revel in the harmonic richness resonating from the the NEX/grand auditorium body and solid cedar top. Execute a single-note run, let your fingers fly all the way up the bound rosewood fingerboard - courtesy of the P1NC's graceful Venetian cutaway. Plug it in, and experience pure amplified acoustic tone, the way it was meant to be heard. The Takamine Pro Series P1NC - to play it is to love it.

Great sound is in the details

The Takamine Pro Series P1NC acoustic-electric guitar benefits from quality tonewoods and Takamine's painstaking attention to detail. With its X-braced solid cedar top and sapele back and sides, the P1NC looks great and is tonally versatile enough to handle whatever playing style your musical mood dictates. And if you're playing out, the P1NC's stage-friendly gloss finish will certainly command your audience's attention.

Takamine - over 50 years of quality, great sound, and playability

The Takamine Pro Series P1NC acoustic-electric guitar is the result of over a half-century of Takamine guitar-crafting knowhow. Launched in 1962 at the foot of Japan's Takamine mountains, Takamine has been designing and building acoustic guitars that are seen in the hands of some of music's biggest stars. With quality and value as guiding principles, Takamine's instruments employ the finest tonewoods, construction techniques, and technical innovations such as the proprietary CT4B preamp system found in this guitar.

Takamine's CT4B preamp system gives you natural amplified tone

The Pro Series P1NC sports Takamine's CT4B preamp, giving you rich, clear-sounding amplified output - instantly. A feature of Pro Series guitars, the CT4B features three-band EQ, a volume control and a built-in tuner. The preamp is switched on by plugging a standard instrument cable into the endpin/strap pin jack. Unplugging the cable turns the preamp off. The CT4B is powered by a single 9 volt battery.

Well worth the price!

I love this guitar. Been playing it since 2017 when I got it from sweet water.
Rated 4.5/5

Very good guitar

This guitar comes very close to five stars. I do wish it existed as a non-cutaway, straight acoustic, sans electronics. But the thing sounded so dang good just acoustically I took it home in spite of the electronics. However, since then, I've acquired a small acoustic amp and have enjoyed plugging in.

Mostly though, it gets played without an amp and boy am I happy. Not quite as loud as a dread but very rich and full sounding. Very responsive with great note seperation and balance. Delicate sound if you wish while also responding if you want to strum a bit harder. Plays smooth too and the 1.675 nut width works for me as I'm only an occasional fingerstylist. Even then, the slightly narrow fretboard does not cramp my style, whatsoever. Great action, great intonation. The neck itself is kinda round and fills my hand well. I like it but then I seem to be able to adapt to different necks whatever the case. This guitar is made in Japan and what fine craftsman must be at work because it is built oh so well, with great fit and finish. Very comfortable body shape too. Anyway, I don't really write reviews but this guitar really needs shouting out.
