Give This All-tube Powerhouse a Test Drive!

If you want a guitar combo amplifier that exudes vintage sound and style, the Bugera V22 Infinium is worth a test drive. Loaded with three 12AX7 preamp tubes and a pair of EL84 power tubes, this handbuilt, boutique-style powerhouse is ready to bring its 22 watts of phenomenal all-tube tone onstage or to the studio. Complete with two independent channels, selectable reverb, and a great-sounding British-engineered Turbosound speaker, the V22 Infinium delivers the tone and flexibility you demand. On top of that, Sweetwater guitarists dig Bugera's Tube Life Multiplier technology, which ensures that the V22 Infinium guitar combo amplifier gives you reliability and consistent tone over the lifespan of your tubes.

Classic all-tube design provides sweet harmonics and warm distortion

Inside the Bugera V22 Infinium guitar combo amplifier you'll find three 12AX7 preamp tubes, as well as two EL84 power tubes, giving you classic all-tube tone. The hand-selected 12AX7s provide you with everything from smooth harmonics to aggressive crunch, while the EL84s really drive the V22 Infinium when pushed to the max. With the V22 Infinium, you can conjure up anything from crisp chiming to classic crunch to metallic screaming.

Modern features provide you with a wide tonal palette

The Bugera V22 Infinium guitar combo amplifer is definitely not a one-trick pony. Featuring a 2-channel preamp, you have access to both clean and high-gain tones. You also get a classic-style 3-band EQ (bass, mid, and treble) with a presence control, allowing for plenty of sound-tweaking. Finally, normal and bright inputs let you match the V22 Infinium to your electric guitar's tonal characteristics in order to optimize your tone.

Infinium technology takes the hassle and expense out of tube tone

Sweetwater guitarists agree that there's no tone like tube tone. But we also know that the cost involved in owning and maintaining a tube guitar amplifier can be prohibitive. Solid-state amps have come a long way, but there's just something special about true tube tone, and Bugera's Infinium technology means no more compromising what you want. The Infinium circuit is designed to optimize the performance of your output tubes and distribute the load evenly between the tubes, giving you tonal integrity and reliability. By automatically adjusting current levels, aging tubes are compensated for and your tone retains that toasty, day one sound throughout its life. Tubes, by nature, do wear out and die, but when you play an Infinium amp, you'll never worry. This exclusive technology allows you to grab whatever replacement tube you have on hand and get back to playing - there's no matching necessary. In fact, now you can mix and match tubes to create your very own signature sound without the hassle and expense of buying matched pairs. And because Infinium is a bit like having your own guitar amp tech with you on every gig, you get up to 20 times more life out of your tubes. When it is time to change one out you'll know exactly where to go, thanks to the life monitoring LED readout that keeps you in the know about your amp's health. Only Bugera makes the joy of owning and playing a tube amplifier this accessible and easy!

Bugera new tube

I like a standby switch, got one, I like super style, I like amp covers, and amp stands, I wanted the sound I heard on demos. Totally nice and is a rounded clean not a rattlesnake bite, and the sound is Vox-ish. I use it as a clean amp, and it is so mellow the sound has shape. I stole one from Sweetwater. Companion Marshall Code rounds out Studio 1.

Introduction to Tube

Had this amp almost two years, and frankly played it only a handful of times until just recently. Reason being I have three young children and need the plug and play convenience of my solid state Blues Cube, especially late at night. Try playing a tube amp when everyone else is asleep. So I could never get a decent sound- good enough with pedals, but I knew something was missing. Lately however, I've abandoned pedals for the most part, feeling pretty good about playing clean, ditching all the cables and pedal board nonsense- and plugging just guitar into amp. As good as it sounds on the BC, I knew tubes would take it to a whole different level. But first how to tame the beast? Did some research, figured out it has an attenuated setting, 11w instead of 22, as well as a dirt channel (which I never really liked before with all the pedal noise and confusion I was throwing at it, and knowing squat about effects loops). Add a clean boost in front, along with an eq pedal in the effects loop, now the dirt channel comes alive with satisfyingly smooth crunch, sweet violin like sustain, that edge of breakup tube saturation with the gain rolled back- whatever you want really, all at comfortable bedroom volume. The kind of sound and touch and feel that makes you want to keep playing all night long. (BTW I actually do have a Bugera attenuator, still trying to get it to work- but what a pain in the ### to set up everytime to play).

Home run

First off, Sweetwater is amazing. I've never gone wrong with them and they have -- hands down -- the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Full stop.

Second, this amp is amazing. The cleans are out of this world. It sounds great even at low volumes, but it is astounding when moved up to 5 on master and channel.

It also takes pedals very well. I used the effects loop with my multi effects processor on it into the clean channel with gain and compression before the pre-amp and reverb and delay after and it was unbelievable.

The value is here is out of this world and you can't go wrong.

Not too Shabby

Wonderful clean channel. Feel like the Gain channel could be a bit better. I can get great tones at bedroom levels. On the other hand gets way louder than I'll ever need. Heavy but seems to be of really nice quality. Hard to beat the price!
